Nike took the time to officially unveil the Nike (Zoom) KD 9 yesterday during the Nike Innovation Summit in New York. Many people (including myself) were impressed due to the change of using Flyknit on the upper for the first time on a KD shoe as well as the price drop (will retail for $150).

Today the Innovation Summit continued and Nike unveiled their new jerseys for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Making a special appearance was Kevin Durant and of course he was wearing the Nike KD 9. He debuted a new colorway that we’ll probably be seeing in heavy rotation this Summer when he’s playing for Team USA in the Olympics in Rio. The Nike KD 9 USA features a White Flyknit upper with red detailing on the Swoosh, tongue tab and midsole along with some blue accents to complete the USA theme.

There is no release date at the moment for this Nike KD 9 but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

This KD 9 looks like the perfect Summer shoe. I like the clean white Flyknit upper but I’m real hesitant about buying a white Flyknit sneaker. I’m looking forward to seeing these in person.
